On thursday, International Olympic Committe(IOC) announced Singapore as the host for youth Olympic! Being a Singaporean all of us should be proud. Maybe you feel "it's not my business"?Why does it matter? Being the FIRST will always be remembered. Let me cite you example:
Who is the world richest man. All of us will answer: Bill Gate. How about the second?
Where is the birthplace of Olympic? Most of us know it's in Greece-Athens. How about the second host?
Who is the president of America? Yes, It's George Bush. But who is the vice-president?
SEE! We always honour the first, but not after. Hence let's rejoice and give our support to this event! When China won their right's for Olympic 2008, the whole nation was very proud- at least according to my friend.
Hence we should be proud too, eventhought we will never be able to host a full Olympic. I am thrilled, seriously. I never dare to dream:
Singapore hosting F1, but it's happening right in September.
An Olympic, but it's happening!Universal Theme park in Singapore, but it's landing in 2010!
Lastly, there are still many many million's of people who do not know SINGAPORE! Trust me, there are many people out there don't even know us! Personally i have came across these people. With F1 and Olympic, we will be putting our name in the spotlight.
Maybe a disney land in future? Did i mentioned we might be the launch pad for space shutter in time to come?
